The Freds. Group manages a collection of debt amounting to over three billion for various European institutions including BT. One of it’s companies, Fredrickson International, recently introduced a unique new scheme which creates an unusual way for debtors to lower the amount they owe.

Joining forces with a leading phone recycling business, the system set up allows individuals to trade unused handsets for a debt reduction. This can all be done on line and the device in question is then sent off to ShP Limited for disposal. Electronic links between the debt recovery and the recycler means that it is a very simple procedure.

In the shattered economy currently being experienced in the UK initiatives like this are to be welcomed and it’s likely that other’s in the industry will follow suit to help save the environment. The recently set up system combines the reduction of e-waste with an additional way for someone to tackle their financial woes.
